Luxury, legacy, and cinematic flair came together on the shores of Lake Como as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled the Phantom Goldfinger, a one-of-a-kind commission marking the 100th anniversary of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, during the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025.
This exclusive Phantom Goldfinger edition, crafted as a tribute to the 1964 James Bond classic Goldfinger, made its global public debut at one of the world’s most glamorous automotive events. The handcrafted masterpiece, based on the Phantom Extended, celebrates both the car’s centennial legacy and its enduring role in popular culture.
Commissioned by a private client and developed by the marque’s Bespoke division at Goodwood, the Phantom Goldfinger features 24-carat gold accents, custom interior motifs inspired by the film’s characters and settings, and bespoke storytelling woven into its design. It takes direct inspiration from the 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville, famously driven by villain Auric Goldfinger in the film—this exact model was also on display at the event, creating a rare moment where fiction, legacy, and reality intersected.

The 2025 edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este offered the ideal backdrop for Rolls-Royce to reflect on a century of Phantom excellence. Alongside the Goldfinger debut, eight original Phantom-inspired artworks were revealed. Created by Rolls-Royce designers, each piece represents a different generation of the Phantom, styled to reflect the design trends and cultural moments of its respective era.
Adding further gravitas to the celebration, an immaculate Rolls-Royce Phantom V—a model synonymous with royalty, statesmanship, and celebrity—took part in the event’s opening parade. This historic presence reinforced Phantom’s enduring symbolism of power, prestige, and bespoke craftsmanship.
“Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este provides the perfect setting for Phantom Goldfinger to make its public debut,” said Chris Brownridge, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “This one-of-one commission is more than a car—it’s a moving homage to cinema, art, and bespoke automotive excellence. Presenting it during the Phantom’s centenary year, alongside the original film car and a century of design innovation, is a truly momentous occasion for our marque.”
